After having two boys I have really enjoyed having a girl around. It didn’t take long to realize that they are very different and girls require a lot more accessories. We have acquired so many headbands and hair clippies… and if we don’t have an accessory to match her outfits I am guilty of whipping one up! Then there is the dilemma of keeping them organized!
Back in 2007 when I first started selling online I used to make similar bow holders so I instantly knew we needed one for Delilah’s hair clips. They are fairly easy to make and cost about $8-$10.

DIY Bow Holder Directions
To make my bow holder I first wanted to create a template so that I could cut my scrapbook paper to be the correct shape. Since I picked a plaque with a unique design (not just a circle or square) I put it on the copy machine and cut it out. Then I painted my plaque with acrylic paint.
Once the paint dried I used mod podge to apply the scrapbook paper.
Even though I made a template there were still some areas where the paper hung over the edge. Once the mod podge dried I took a small piece of sand paper and gently sanded the edges until the paper fell off.
To attach the ribbons for the bows I flipped over the plaque and used my staple gun to attach two ribbons. I also used a claw hook so that I could hang it, but if you don’t have one then you can just loop a small piece of ribbon and staple it on (just make sure it is centered!).
I used my Silhouette to cut out Delilah’s name and put that on the front.
To finish it off I used hot glue to attach shabby flowers to the ends of the ribbons.
Do you need a few bow tutorials now? I got you covered with that too. Make a boutique hair bow or my favorite is the spiker bow.
Enjoy,

Lowes has PVC pipe for plumbing that is about 4" in diameter...it works great for headband holders! I attach a long ribbon on each side and then hand it up on the wall (need all the counter space I have)

We get our oatmeal in paper bags so I guess that will not work! ;) Thanks anyway, maybe if I sew the ribbon into loops it will work.

I have seen where they make them out of empty oatmeal canisters - but I am trying to think of something that can hang on the wall next to this bow holder. :)
