New Year Cut Files for Silhouette and Cricut – SVG and DXF Files

What’s up my crafty people? At the end of the year I always find myself reflecting on the previous 365 days. This year I felt like I found my niche in creating the free cut files and sharing a lot of what I know about using a cutting machine. I started blogging for enjoyment in 2011 and somewhere along the way my passion started to die out. This year it has been completely renewed and I again find excitement and enjoyment in sharing Silhouette and Cricut Resources.

I have used a Silhouette Cameo for the past four years and received a Cricut Explore Air 2 for Christmas. This means I can better answer questions for Cricut users as well as Silhouette users.

I’m excited to share these New Year cut files because again they are my own doodles, designs and hand lettering. For Christmas I asked my mom for sharpies and black paint. She thought I was a little crazy. I had to explain it was for hand lettering and doodles which would be transformed to cut files.

I am using the ‘celebrate 2018’ cut file and some of the sparkle HTV from the Poofy Cheeks Beginner Bundle to make a sparkly t-shirt for New Year’s Eve. I’m also using ‘cheers’ to put adhesive vinyl on some plastic champagne flutes for our midnight toast. As always we will be toasting with our kids and drinking Sparkling Raspberry Mocktails. My parents asked us to dog-sit so we are crashing their place, cooking and using their hot tub (or bubble tub as the kids call it).

Here are some answers to questions I usually get when I share free files…

Can I use them for Commercial Use?
You can use these designs for personal OR commercial use. If you use them please, please tag me on social media because I would love to see your final products and share them with my followers too! You MAY NOT sell, alter or claim these designs as your own in any way.

What files types do these come in?
These files come in DXF and SVG. The files are above and I have them labeled. I use DXF for Silhouette and it opens right up but I know Cricut users need SVG.

What can I make with these cut files?
You can cut these files onto any medium you prefer and make SO MANY THINGS! Make mugs, cups, shirts, onesies, tote bags or basically whatever your heart desires. I recently shared where to buy blanks and tips for using HTV if you need some ideas.

How can I be notified of new cut files?

Sign up for our newsletter below and get notification when new cut files are added. I share with my email subscribers first on the day the files go live!

The link for the New Years designs doesn't seem to be working. Can you help me out here? Click on the link and it does nothing. I have downloaded a lot of other designs today without trouble, just seems your link is not working.
