January–In Season Fruits and Vegetables

One of my goals for 2014 is to be even more frugal than I already am. I feel like I am pretty frugal but around the holidays I get a little off track. We ate dinner out too much, I made too many trips to the store which lead to impulsive buying and I stopped planning weekly shopping trips. I have found that by taking into account the fruits and vegetables that are in season and planning meals around them I often save a bit of money. Right now broccoli is in season and it is a family favorite! Fruits and Veggies in-season during January

Yum! These meals sound delicious, especially that chicken noodle soup. It's so different living in WI in the winter as opposed to CA, the selection of fruits and veggies this time of year (and price) might be the one thing I really miss.
