Fourth of July is only a few weeks away and I wanted to share some patriotic earring designs. Every year I have these plans of going all out on my outfit. I want the hat, the shirt, the red, white and blue accessories right down to the earrings. Maybe this is the year.
This rocket earrings SVG can be used with a laser to create earrings from acrylic, leather or wood, but you can also remove the hole at the top to use the rocket shape for other projects on your cutting machine of choice.
While I had fully planned to cut these out of wood, make them and photograph them… our new machine is still waiting to be setup. We picked up the new laser on Wednesday, but we are waiting on a friend to come over next week to show us the ropes. This laser doesn’t have very good instructions compared to the plug and go Glowforge.
I don’t even think our new Boss laser came with any literature. If I had to compare to our pervious Glowforge, it’s because the company needs some better tutorial videos and instructions. Glowforge is really good at step-by-step instructions (sort of like Circuit instructions versus Silhouette).
So, you get some mockup images of this cut file, and they work just fine.

Laser Earrings FAQs
What type of materials would you use to make earrings with a laser machine?
I use 1/8″ or 3mm thick materials for earrings. If you are layering colors you could even use 1/16″ acrylics.
Where do you purchase your laser materials from?
The three places I order my acrylic from are Houston Acrylic, Custom Made Better and the shop MODFYbuild on ETSY. I’ve been ordering from all three of these places for almost 5 years now. All of them ship quickly and I’ve never had ANY issues.
Where do you purchase the hardware for earrings?
I purchase from local craft stores or Amazon. I love the gold hooks, but remember you are probably going to need jump rings and two jewelry pliers for opening the jump rings.
