Spring is just about here and that means lots of craft fairs and events in our area. I have personally only sold at a few shows but I have been to many and I believe that the best thing you can do is have a rockin’ setup! It doesn’t have to be expensive it just has to be eye catching. Since my home reflects my style I like to shop my house for props. I also have a few tricks up my sleeve and a whole bunch of inspiration from other vendors! Details about the above picture:
-
The circle containers are paper mache containers and I painted the tops with Martha Stewart chalk paint. I wasn’t sure how they would hold up but they are awesome! I did about 3-4 coats of paint and wipe them with a baby wipe when I’m ready to change the wording.
-
The mannequin heads are styrofoam from hobby lobby and I decoupaged them with wrapping paper I found in the Target dollar bins.
-
The baskets and glass jars I found while shipping my home.
-
The mannequin head on the left is sitting on top of hard cover books that I wrapped with kraft paper to add height.
I wish I would have been able to capture more pictures form this show but people started shopping even before we were able to get everything set up so there wasn’t much time! Last year I went to the blog conference SNAP! and attended The Queen Bee Market. Here are some pictures I took of the awesome booth setups! {Excuse the lighting – it wasn’t very good that night!} I love this booth by Treasured by Holly because she had a unique and eye catching background and made good use out of all her space! She had a lot of things at eye level but was also able to utilize from the ground up to give her items maximum exposure. Booth by Gussy Sews Booth by The Pleated Poppy Booth by Bake it Pretty Booth by Kelsey Bang Booth by Salty Bison Now for some other awesome booth ideas that I found while browsing the web for inspiration for my own booth ideas – Booth by Oh, Hello Friend {Link shows more pictures of their booth!} Booth by Emma Lou Vintage from Junxtaposition Booth by Funky Vintage Lovely Booth by Urban Farmgirl Booth by Sew Chatty I think putting together the booth is one of the most stressful parts for me because I want it to look PERFECT! In April I will be flying across the country to participate in one of the most awesome craft events I know of and I will be shipping my props. Talk about can’t sleep? I have spent countless nights laying awake in bed brainstorming ways that I can add height and interest to my booth without breaking the bank trying to get it there!Enjoy,
