I got a Provo laminator for Christmas last year, and I used it for the first time today! Now that I finally broke it out and see how easy it is to use, I have so many other ideas for it – so many great things I can make for the boys! Today I used it to make pumpkins and pumpkin face pieces so the kids can practice up on their facial expressions, parts of the face, and word identification. The best part? Since the pieces are laminated they will hold up for quite a while and we can take them with us in the car or to a restaurant if I pack them in a ziploc bag. If you don’t have a laminator, you can still do this and it will work just the same. The pieces just might not hold up as long. I drew a pumpkin, cut it out, and put it through the laminator. I did the same thing with the facial expression and word pieces. Once I cut out the pieces the kids were ready to play! I asked them to make me a sad face, happy face, surprised face, etc. Then we practiced with the word pieces. My boys are 3 and 4 1/2, so they are not good with words but they can identify letters within the words and hopefully after practice will be able to identify these! Enjoy,
