We have been putting items from our Fall bucket list into the bucket. This past weekend we took a family trip to a corn maze not too far from home and were able to let the boys get a taste of Fall. Being from the Midwest I even felt ‘at home’ for a bit. I always miss Illinois this time of year – the smell of corn, walking through a corn field, and getting dirty were things I did regularly growing up in rural Rochelle, IL. What I did not expect was to get to the corn maze and find that the entire place was complete mud and the sun had come out from the clouds making the heat pretty extreme. Sure we dressed casual, but I had put nicer shirts on the boys in hopes to get some cute pictures. I surely wasn’t expecting for it to be so muddy that we had to take our shoes and socks off, roll up our jeans, and wade through the muddy maze. I also wasn’t expecting to want to take my light jacket off exposing the white bra I wore under my black tank top (won’t make that mistake again!). Though I will admit – the mud did make for fun and some really good pictures and I was fitting right in with my white bra and black tank combo.
