Valentine’s Day is a little less than two weeks away, and I want to show you the countdown banner I made for my boys. It was so easy and turned out very cute! On top of that – it ended up to be a learning tool the the boys. They have had a lot of fun doing number trivia – I ask the number and they show me where it is.
To make this banner you will need –
- washi tape clothespins – (tutorial here)
- mini glassine bags
- heart die cuts
- paint and paintbrush
- candy or trinkets to fill the bags
- ribbon to hang the bags from
I took my die cut kraft hearts and then hand painted the numbers 1-14 onto them. While the paint dried I filled the bags with sweet tart hearts and made 14 washi tape covered clothespins. Then when the paint was dry, I hung a ribbon and clothes pined the bags and hearts onto it.
