When I see candy corn hitting the store shelves I know the Halloween season has officially arrived. Give a round of applause for the yellow, orange and white! As I was searching through the dollar spot area in Target a few weeks ago I found the cutest jar for (you guessed it!) $1! Right next to the jars were orange and black jute twine that begged to come home with me and I knew I wanted to use the supplies to craft up something cute for the boys’ teachers.
A few days after picking up the jars and jute I was invited to participate in a Blog Hop with a handful of other bloggers hosted by 30 Minute Crafts and 100 Directions. All of us are sharing how we used free printables designed by Jen Goode to craft up some Halloween awesomeness.
Jen designed lots of super cute Halloween printables ranging from party printables to coloring pages.
To create these candy corn jars for the boys to gift their teachers I filled the jars with candy corn and embellished the jar with the jute and printables. I printed out the Halloween Décor Accents page that Jen shared onto white cardstock. I used scissors to cut out the elements I wanted to use and then used regular scotch tape to apply the printables. I used rolled pieces of scotch tape for the candy corns to give them a little depth.
