Peanut Butter Turtle Blossom Cookie Recipe  – Spreading cheer and #bakingwithbetty

We bought our Christmas tree yesterday and I wanted to make a night of it for the kids. I made a batch of homemade hot chocolate and a few different kinds of cookies.  I wanted to get the tree but I knew by the time Mike got off work, we got the tree and got it home there wouldn’t be time to get it decorated which would cue whining from the kids. To stop the whining before it even started I knew cocoa and cookies would do the job. It ended up being a crazy trip to get our tree so sitting down with cocoa and cookies after dinner was what we all needed!
It was an all around hectic day yesterday with work, kids and then the tree. I had a two-hour window between the boys getting home from school and Mike getting home from work so I enlisted help from Betty Crocker® cookie mix to help speed up the process without sacrificing our tradition.

I got the boys from the bus stop and then Delilah and Mason helped me mix and add toppings for our Peanut Butter Turtle Blossom cookies. I made the actual cookies with Betty Crocker® Peanut Butter cookie mix and once I pulled them from the oven we added a caramel chocolate candy and pecan to each one.

My oldest son Wyatt kept sneaking into the kitchen and stealing cookies. By the time Mike came home from work I had to get onto him for eating so many. I almost couldn’t blame him though – there is nothing better than a cookie still a bit warm in the center.
