Emmett and the Resqueeze Pouches + Giveaway

Where does the time go? Our sweet little man and youngest of four will be 9 months old in a few days. I never understood the emotions a mom went through as her youngest grew until we decided a few months ago that we are not going to have more kids. I cherish each first and each milestone more and more. The thought of Emmett’s first birthday only mere months away brings tears to my eyes. My baby isn’t going to be a baby for long.

I am still breastfeeding Emmett (for now – but I think that will end soon – queue the tears!) but a few months ago I also started feeding him baby food. With my older three we did the whole baby food from a jar thing but with Emmett I wanted to try making my own baby food as much as possible. I got a baby food maker (best invention ever) and when I make dinners I toss unseasoned veggies and fruits in it then put it in our ReSqueeze pouch. When we eat dinner so does he and I’m not worried about making him something totally different. I wanted to have control over the things he was eating and give him the freshest foods possible. When we are on the go it can be difficult and I sometimes buy the baby food pouches from the store… that was until I came up with a genius idea!

I buy a lot of bananas because all of my kids love them but every now and then they get a too ripe and nobody wants them anymore. I found that when they start to turn brown is the best time to mash them up for Emmett. I just unpeel the banana and shove some in the ReSqueeze pouch. I mash it up with my hands while it is in the pouch and then it is ready. I feel so much better about feeding him pure banana than store bought banana baby food which is loaded with way more than JUST banana!

Emmett is getting so big now that he knows his ReSqueeze pouches are full of food. When he sees me coming with his pouch he is like a bird with his mouth open and his hands are ready to squeeze! Before I know it I will be handing them over to him so he can do it all on his own.

The best part about the ReSqueeze pouches is that the bottom opens and closes so you can put your own foods in and wash it out easily when your done to use it over and over again. The pouches are  BPA-free, freezer safe AND dishwasher safe which is all a big plus. The pouches come in 6 and 9 ounce sizes.

Last week Emmett started really trying to crawl. He can plank with the best of them! He gets up on all fours and even on his hands and toes teetering back and fourth. So far he just pushes himself backwards but I know any day he is going to put one knee forward and we are going to be in trouble. In our current house we have hard wood and stone flooring which aren’t very crawl-friendly so I’m on the hunt for some new rugs.

Since we love our pouch so much I am excited that I get to give one away for you to try too! Use the rafflecopter widget below to enter the giveaway and be entered to win a ReSqueeze pouch for baby and some goodies for momma too from Poofy Cheeks Shop!

We make smoothies everyday which my 12 month old devours! But I haven't figured out a good way to take them "on the go" – these would be great for that!
