Today’s installment of ‘I’m A Mompreneur…’ is going to be pretty short and sweet because I am over 37 weeks pregnant and a little miserable. I am sharing a free online resource that I use to keep track of my income and expenses for my online sales. I use Outright.com – they are completely free and I have it synced with my ETSY and Paypal accounts so it does most of the work for me! When I sell through ETSY it syncs up and when I sell through Storenvy it syncs via my Paypal account. If I have expenses such as supplies I usually always use my Paypal funds so I can go through and categorize at the end of each week. If I use my personal bank account for anything I can manually enter it in or it gives you the option to sync a bank account as well if you have a business account. Outright may not be the ideal accounting service to use if you do a lot of person-to-person or craft show type sales, but the fact that it is free and easy to use is very attractive to me! As soon as I log in it gives me a breakdown of the current months income and expenses and gives me an alert if I have any uncategorized expenses. It does such a great job of breaking things down I have even thought about using it for my personal banking to track where our money is coming from and going to.
