Homemade Kahlua Recipe

I have three sweet sets of neighbors. When they decided to have a neighborhood garage sale earlier this year they came knocking to ask if I wanted to participate too. They always wave. One invited me over to take furniture she was getting rid of and we have often askedthem to keep an eye on the house when we go out of town.

I thought that a batch of kahlua using our homemade kahlua recipe would be the perfect neighbor gift. Kahlua and cream is one of my favorite dessert drinks in the winter months. My in-laws add theirs to a cup of coffee for the perfect pairing and it’s a gift they look forward to each year.

It is SO easy – it just takes a little time. I made this while we were watching a movie. I used the Ball 8 oz. jelly jars and this recipe makes enough to fill all 12 jars plus a large canning jar. I’m keeping the large jar in our refrigerator.

I labeled each jar with a tag. On the back of the gift tags I put how to mix the Kahlua – ‘Fill glass with ice. Fill 2/3 of the way with Half & Half and top off with Homemade Kahlua.. Stir and Drink.’
