These babies should be illegal in all 50 states. Today I am sharing a recipe for Loaded SNICKERS® Peanut Butter Brownies using the SNICKERS® Peanut Butter Squares, peanut butter and a boxed brownie mix. These brownies are ‘loaded’ with peanut butter and are so moist and delicious. My kids were going cuckoo for seconds but I made them wait until after dinner. Thanks to these brownies I don’t think I have ever seen them scarf down their dinner so fast. As a matter of fact a slice went missing and I know they were the little culprits that couldn’t keep their sticky hands off of them. They thought I didn’t notice so when I offered them dessert after dinner I only gave each boy half of a slice and told them that was all they were going to get since they already ate their other half – there were guilty grins after that.
Thanks to the time change we were up early yesterday and it felt like the day might never end. I baked up a batch of Loaded SNICKERS® Peanut Butter Brownies and then I took the kids to the park. We actually wrapped all but three slices of the brownies up and dropped them around to friends and family while we were out. We wanted to spread a little love in the form of baked goods and chocolate. They were enjoyed by all and I got a text from one friend saying ‘we want to know who got the rest of the batch!’
My husband is a huge brownie fan and he can also eat peanut butter by the spoonful so these would be a dessert of choice for him. Too bad he left for a job training early yesterday afternoon and won’t be back until the end of the week. I will have to taunt him with pictures. I am such a mean wifey! But hey – he is the one who left and afterwards I found his clothes thrown all over from packing, a mess in the bathroom and the FAUCET RUNNING! Sometimes I’m not sure if he is my husband or fifth child.
- Loaded SNICKERS® Peanut Butter Brownie RecipeIngredients
- Brownie Mix (plus eggs, water and oil that the box recipe calls for)
- 1/3 cup creamy peanut butter
- 9-12 SNICKERS® Peanut Butter Squares (depending on what size pan you use)
Mix brownie batter according to box directions and spread into greased pan.
Add dollups of peanut butter around the pan and then set unwrapped SNICKERS® Peanut Butter Squares in so each slice will have a square. Use 9 peanut butter squares for an 8x8 or 9x9 pan and use 12 squares for a 13x9 pan.
Bake the brownies according to the times outlined on the brownie mix box. Double check by inserting a toothpick into the middle – if it comes out clean the brownies are done. I needed to cook mine for about 5 extra minutes.
The SNICKERS® will most likely sink all the way to the bottom of the pan but if you arrange them in a grid like I did you can gauge where to cut each one when they come out. Since they turned out so moist and rich I even went a step further to cut the pieces in half. The consistency was a mix between cake and fudge-like brownies.
Do you see that peanut butter goodness just ready for you to take a bite? I can hardly handle it. While the SNICKERS® Peanut Butter squares were perfect for this recipe I want to try the Almond SNICKERS® bar in a batch of brownies next. I personally like almonds and then add in the caramel and it sounds like a win//win situation.
Right now you can enter the SNICKERS® “Who are you when you’re hungry?” contest by uploading a personal photo or video from your Computer, Facebook, Instagram or use the SNICKERS® Meme Generator to create something new! Voting begins at Noon on 5/11/15 and ends at 11:59:59AM ET on 7/15/15.
Any recipe with SNICKERS® sounds like a good one to me. See more great SNICKERS® recipes and fun stories on the SNICKERS® social hub.
Which SNICKERS® bar would you load your brownies with? The Peanut Butter Squares or the Almond SNICKERS® bar?
