Painting a Small Bathroom

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of FrogTape for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

A few days ago I mentioned we put our stuff in storage and my husband had to go away for an 8 week training. What I didn’t mention is that while he is gone all four of our kids and I are staying with my parents. We are keeping our clothes and sleeping in an 11×11 bedroom. My sister still lives at home so all of the kids, my sister and I are sharing the second bathroom which isn’t tiny but isn’t big either.

Before we had moved in my dad had replaced the toilet and painted behind it but the rest of the bathroom still needed to be painted. I had heard my mom mention it to him several times so I knew when I moved in I would try to help finish up some of their projects. Yesterday we pulled out the paint an FrogTape® and FrogTape® Textured Surface™ and got to work. I took everything out of the bathroom and taped it off and then my dad came in behind me and painted. Of course we also had a little helper (as if the bathroom wasn’t small enough).

Here are some before and after pictures – before pictures are on the left and after on the right. The new paint color is Behr Classic Taupe. Since there aren’t any windows or natural light in the bathroom I apologize for lighting in some of the pictures.

I used the FrogTape® for multi-surfacse around the trim and fixtures and then where the textured walls met the textured ceiling I used the FrogTape® Textured Surface™.

The FrogTape® Textured Surface™ tape worked great on the textured walls leaving a crisp clean line where the wall and ceiling meet. To use Textured Surface by FrogTape you first apply the tape making sure to rub along the edges, wipe tape with a clean damp cloth to activate the PaintBlock® Technology and then use the liquid edge sealer. Once the sealer dries for 15 minutes go ahead and paint. Remember to remove the tape while the paint is still wet for best results!

The FrogTape® and FrogTape® Textured Surface™ helped us achieve super crisp clean lines throughout the bathroom. Since the bathroom is situated between the living room and one of the bedrooms it isn’t just a small rectangle room – it has lots of bends and curves. Since FrogTape® and FrogTape® Textured Surface™ are the best tapes ever it turned out perfect. My mom was happy to have the project finished and my dad joked that now even his daughter is putting him to work.
