8 Months Old with a #HuggiesSlipOn Coupon & Target Gift Card Giveaway

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Huggies, but all my opinions are my own. #HuggiesSlipOn #pmedia http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO My sweet Delilah is 8 months old. Where does the time go? Everything we have been through together in these last eight months has created such a strong bond between the two of us. From spending her first week after birth in the NICU then five days in the PICU when she had RSV, we have spent a lot of one-on-one time together! She is spoiled to say the least. We very rarely leave her with anyone because she won’t take a bottle and even when I let somebody else hold her she is always looking around to make sure I am right there. The few times I have left her with my parents she has screamed and cried when she saw me leave. Luckily she will at least let my husband Mike hold her and put her to sleep so I can get some sort of break. She is at the age where it feels as if she is doing something new each day. Her bottom teeth are just about to break skin, she has mastered rolling and sitting, is beginning to stand with support and she has started scooting and trying to push up on all fours. Her brothers say that can’t wait until she can walk, but I know once she starts walking into their room and grabbing toys it will be a different story. DSC_3096 With her in this new scooting stage I have to constantly make sure that they boys keep all of their little toys picked up. Just this morning she rolled onto the tile floor in her jammies and started scooting herself backwards into the kitchen. I had to go catch her after recording it on my phone for Mike to see. I personally feel like this is the stage when you really need to start diapering your baby with a brand you trust because instead of just playing in one spot they are moving their little bodies all over. Right now we are using the Huggies Slip On diapers because I can stand her up to pull them on without worrying about her trying to roll over as I try to attach the sides. When I had first heard of the Huggies Slip On diaper all I could think about was the mess of slipping off a dirty diaper but I should have known that Huggies is smarter than that! There are little tabs on the side you gently pull when you are ready to remove it. I think the slip on diapers are perfect for her age because they give more coverage for leak protection on the sides and have more stretch to conform to her busy little body. delilahDSC_3095 My little chunker is weighing in at 19 pounds and after a lot of debate it looks as if her eyes are going to stay brown. For a while we thought they might be green like Mike’s. She is wearing size three Huggies diapers and size 12 month clothes. The clothing selection in her closet is getting slim too, so I think it is time for us to go do some mommy-daughter shopping! I was trying to find a few pairs of shoes for her last week, but like when the boys were babies I can’t find shoes for her chunky feet! She is still breastfeeding and also eating baby food. We have introduced Cheerios and she really loves trying to pick them up and eat them herself. She wakes up once in the night to eat and goes right back to sleep. As long as her brothers don’t wake her she takes two to three decent naps a day. I am just so head-over-heels for this little girl that it isn’t funny! After I had Wyatt and was pregnant with Mason I asked my husband how you can love your child so much and then have enough love for another. Then when I was pregnant with Delilah I asked again. Somewhere and somehow your ability to love grows and you find enough love for all of them. Being a mom to three kiddos is hard at times, I get stressed, I admit sometimes I yell but the one thing I do every day is make sure that I tell my kids I love them. delilah_collage DSC_3117 DSC_3104 COUPON ALERT! I'm a huge Winnie the Pooh fan and love Piglet & Eeyore. I'm not much for decorated diapers, tho.
