Pinterest Trials & Reviews #2

Most of the things I try from Pinterest are recipes. The food just speaks to me. Some of the foods look so yummy as they drip with cheese, and it is horrible if I am pinning while hungry. Therefore I made this… I may just have to hang this next to my computer. Although, I must say pinning food helps mix things up on our dinner menu. We seem to get tired of the same ol’ things over and over, so I have really been able to spice it up. pinning Trial #1 – Charleston Cheese Dip from Mommy’s Kitchen – LOVE! Cheese and bacon – a girls best friend! Two thumbs up! Just make sure if you try it you love onions – I only used half of what the recipe called for and it is still very onion-y. image #2 – Twice baked potatoes with rosemary and feta by Fresh365. AMAZING! This combo is out of this world. I made them once for dinner, and then again on Christmas. Everyone said they were great! image #3 – Crispy Cheddar Chicken by Jamie Cooks It Up. Another two thumbs up! Husband loved it and had seconds (even though he is on a low-cal diet). image #4 – Oven Baked Frito Pie by Sweet Treats & More. This was a great mid-afternoon snack. I made it one afternoon to hold us over from a late breakfast. image #5 – Lasagna Soup by A Farm Girls Dabbles. You know when you see a recipe you THINK you will like, but you aren’t really sure. This was one of those. I know my husbands favorite dinner is lasagna, but it was a risk to try putting his favorite into a soup form. Well this soup was wonderful! It is prefect for a cold winter night and I have made it twice now. image #6 – The MEGA out-of-the-park YUMMY recipe I found on Pinterest is for French Dip Sandwiches from Baking Bites. SO easy and super delicious. I made it for the first time in October have made it every month since. image #7 – Chocolate Peanut Butter Torte by Annie’s Eats. I made this for Thanksgiving dinner and it was so rich and decadent. I couldn’t find espresso powder at my local grocery store (I was a little last minute looking for it), so I improvised by just using melted chocolate. Next time I will find all of the ingredients it calls for – so yummy. image If you missed my first post on Pinterest trials go HERE.
