Fail and Success –Vintage Window Rehabs {Part 1}

You may remember a few months ago.
I did a post titled ‘Decorating with Windows’ HERE
There were so many great ideas for vintage windows.
This post was inspired by two windows I scored off of Craigslist.
The window is hanging in our living room. I’m waiting on one more 5×7 photo to put in the bottom right hand corner and it will be complete! What is in the middle pain you ask? Well I mod podged fabric! I’m so happy with it! Who woulda’ thought? Fabic Photo Vintage Window Redo Here is what I did…gathered my supplies.

  • Window
  • Sand paper
  • Mod Podge
  • Fabric
  • Photos
  • Scotch Tape
  • Paint brush

Then I flipped it over so the right side was down and I used scotch tape to secure the photos on the side window panes. Then I squirted mod podge onto the center pane and spread it around with a paintbrush. Put the fabric down on top of that right side down and smoothed it out so there were no bubbles. I added another of layer of mod podge to the back of the window and let it dry. I love that it ties things together and the window displays our family photos! Enjoy – while I’m out in this Florida heat fighting with a window! image You may also like… Chalkboard Window
